Members

The membership of the Kodutütred is divided into four: young members, active members, supporting members and honorary members.

Young members are 7-18-year-old girls, or Kodutütred.

Active members of the Kodutütred are adult youth leaders who have pedagogical or youth work experience, who recognize the goals of the Kodutütred and through their activities contribute to the achievement of the goals of the organization. The youth leader may also be a member of another structural unit of the Defence League, if he or she participates in the organisation of educational activities of the young members of the youth organization and has been approved as youth leader according to this Statute.

A supporting member of the Kodutütred can be an Estonian or foreign citizen at least 18 years old who recognizes the goals of the Kodutütred and contributes to the achievement of the goals of the Defence League and the Kodutütred organizations, and who meets the requirements set out in the Defence League Act. On the basis of the person’s application, the supporting member is admitted by the directive of the regional elder, which indicates their responsibilities in the organization.

An honorary member of the Kodutütred can be either in a region or in the organisation as general. As honorary member an Estonian or foreign citizen may be elected with their consent who has outstanding merits before the Kodutütred organization. The honorary member is elected on the proposal of the Central Assembly of the Kodutütred on the basis of the internal rules of the Defence League. A regional honorary member is elected by the regional board on the proposal of the regional elder on the basis of the internal rules of the Defence League.
